Bio
Tim
Tim is a New York City-based photographer, multimedia whiz, and scientific imaging specialist. When he first picked up a camera after college, he immediately fell in love--and for those who know Tim well, they know that once something catches his attention, he’s all in. He applied the analytical skills he picked up as a Johns Hopkins-trained biomedical engineer to teach himself the meat of the craft. Meticulous study of photography books, eccentric experimentation, and taking photos around the city soon transitioned to shooting portraits, concerts, weddings, engagements, church events, and commercial work. People quickly noticed his knack for vividly colored and intricate compositions.
Tim strives to push the bounds of the medium and welcomes all kinds of photographic requests. When he’s not behind the camera, Tim can be found bopping his head along to classic hip hop, jazz, Motown, funk, and alternative rock; producing scientific images using advanced light microscopy; perusing photo and food blogs; playing his experimental electric guitar sounds at his church; obsessing about pizza and “Lost”; and cracking jokes with his wife Sarah.
Sarah
Ever since Sarah married Tim, she has lived and breathed the world of photography. She loves working with people, handles the administrative and operations side of the business, and occasionally assists Tim on gigs. Otherwise, she can be found pursuing her passion for social justice, counseling people with disabilities, listening to pop and oldies music, and dragging Tim through cheesy romantic comedies. Once in awhile she’ll entertain a sci-fi flick to make Tim happy. Hey, marriage is a give and take, no?
